Christchurch Marathon Elite Programme
Are you looking to be a part of the Christchurch Marathon Elite Programme? We’d love for you to join us. In 2026, we have an official elite element for the Marathon and Half Marathon events, both male and female.
Please note that for 2026, the Half Marathon distance is also the New Zealand National Half Marathon Championships.
To be eligible for our elite programme, there are certain times you will need to have recorded. These times are:
Marathon
Male - Sub 2 hours 30 minutes
Female - Sub 3 hours
Half Marathon
Male - Sub 1 hour 10 minutes
Female - Sub 1 hour 20 minutes
